We have worked hard using salt dough as the daub to stick the wattle together!

Today we collected sticks from the school forest and began to construct the wattle!
We are testing materials!
Today we have been investigating if materials are waterproof or not. We had to follow the instructions very carefully.
Building Boats!
We investigated how the shape of a material affects whether it floats or sinks. We have learnt that weight doesn’t matter. We made different shape boats and tested how much each boat cold hold before sinking!
Great Fire of London Day
Everybody looks great in their costumes. We have made some bread and are busy making model houses for later on.
Making Materials Bags
Today we had a group challenge. We had to use our senses to explore a range of different materials and describe them. We had a list of properties and had to collect an item for each property, such as smooth or stretchy. We tested each other’s bags to make sure they had a material for each property on the list!
Year one thank you party!
Year 2 are completing our puppets.
To finish off the year we are making our own puppets that we have designed. We have sewn around the outside and are very proud of them!
